Volunteerism

The North Suburban YMCA needs volunteers to be successful. Volunteers keep us going, make us strong. Volunteer opportunities are always available in various areas of the Y. Whether you're interested in coaching, counseling or office help, we're always looking for a helping hand.

Volunteers are involved in many aspects of operations. Here are some ways you can participate:

  • Join a committee - Apply your communication, finance, or planning skills.
  • Campaign for Strong Kids - Raise funds so that every kid in our community can learn to swim or to attend summer camp.
  • Help with early childhood programs - Share your experience and talents with children and their parents.
  • Coach or referee in a sports league - Promote values of good health and sportsmanship.
